What is the CIDB Green Card?
This is an integrated program that involves the registration and accreditation of Construction Personnel to enhance safety levels at Construction work sites.


Why must you register?
  • To ensure that Construction Workers are aware of the importance a safe and healthy working place;
  • To provide a basic knowledge on safety and health at the Construction work site;
  • To inform Construction Workers of the legal requirements in relation to safety and health.
  • Automatically covered by a special Insurance Scheme that insures the Construction personnel against death and accidents.
Who should register?
All personnel working in Construction Sites.


When to register?
If you are working in Construction Sites, you must obtain your Green Card before entering the Construction Site.

Category Classification
General Worker - GW A general worker who does not require special skills. General workers does the general works at the construction site.

GW - General Worker
GL - Local General Worker
GF - Foreign General Worker
Semi-Skilled Construction Worker- XW
A worker who owns certain skills in one or more trade which is not listed in Table 3, Act 520, which is acceptable and determined by CIDB.
XW - Semi-Skilled Construction Worker

XL - Local Semi-Skilled Worker
XF - Foreign Semi-Skilled Worker
Skilled Construction Worker A worker who owns certain skills in one or more trade which is listed in Table 3, Act 520, which is acceptable and determined by CIDB.
SW - Skilled Construction Worker

WL - Local Skilled Worker
WF - Foreign Skilled Worker
Construction Site Supervisor A worker who is in charge to supervise works carried out in construction site.
SS - Construction Site Supervisor

SL - Local Site Supervisor
SF - Foreign Site Supervisor
Construction Site Manager A worker who is in charged to manage works carried out in construction site.
MG- Construction Site Manager

ML - Local Site Manager
MF - Foreign Site Supervisor
Site Administrative Personnel A worker who is incharge of administration at the construction site.
AD - Site Administrative Personnel

Construction Personnel Accreditation
"The Board must accredit and acknowledge skilled construction workers and construction site supervisors according to the predefined methods."
ACT 520, Part VII Accreditation and Acknowledgement of Skilled Construction Workers and Site Construction Supervisors Section 32.(1)
The accreditation process involves all skilled workers and site supervisors from local to foreign workers.

akaful Scope Coverage for Construction Personnel
All card holders aged between 16 to 65 years will be covered 24 hours (working and non-working hours) around the globe.
Takaful Benefit Scope
Benefit Amount (RM)
Accidental Death : 21,000.00
Disability Due to Accident: Maximum 18,000.00
Normal Death: 3,000.00
Whole-body Disability : 3,000.00
Funeral Expenses: 500.00
Hospital Benefits Due to Accidents: 25.00/day (maximum 30 days)

Takaful Claim Procedures
Accident occurs within valid period of the green card.
Applicant/nominee must forward the UPPT � 1 duly completed claim form not more than 60 days from the date of accident.
The Green Card Holder does not have any criminal offenses
